Skypod Project   2016 - ongoing

Inspired by both functional and sculptural objects, the Skypod puts the viewer on the pedestal—INSIDE as a platform for meditative experience WITHIN oneself, and OUTSIDE, being part of the living nature of the woods, connected to the trees of the breathing canopy.

With eyes closed, the aesthetic sensations of the installation are site-contextual, collapsible and transportable. 

The cumulative use of getting off the ground in-to and down out-of the Skypod generates the greater meaning of the artwork, and a feeling akin to being on a floating sailboat tethered in a forest.
